Building Coaching Presence
Course Description
What does it mean to experience and be a catalyst for sustainable change? During our live program, we explore and practice the revolutionary art, science and consciousness of presence as a basis for a compassion-filled, truth-based change process. You will have the opportunity to have an ongoing, live experience of presence personally and professionally.
With a focus on application, this retreat explores how various dynamics and nuances contained within the Enneagram can be incorporated into the coaching relationship. Deepen your awareness of how your type structure affects your coaching style and orientation, as your strengths and growth edges become more apparent.
Through practicing presence-based learning, inquiring, teaching and coaching, discover how to call upon Enneagram knowledge when it is needed, and how to let it fall into the background when it is not.
Format
We will meet for morning, late afternoon and evening sessions with long breaks during the afternoon. We will begin our time with the focus on your personal development with experiences based upon Deep Living.
The remainder of the time, we will integrate didactic learning, demonstrations, and extensive coaching practice based on the Deep Coaching and 5-Step Presence models. Our emphasis is on direct experience and opportunities to apply new skills while learning the meta-principles that are the foundation of excellence in coaching.
Experience the roles of teacher and learner, coach and coachee, witness and inquirer throughout.
The Setting
The Intensive will be held at an historic inn and conference center in stunning Taos, New Mexico. The vision for the original home was that it would serve as: a retreat for “the movers and shakers of the earth…to relax and recover their energy…the scientists, artists, statesmen, creators, promoters of values and changers of the world.
As a guest of the house, expect to enjoy the many characteristics of traditional southwest architecture, including its warm adobe charm. A welcoming hearth and relaxed ambiance, panoramic views, quiet patios, a tree-lined acequia all provide an environment for supporting the depth of our work. A full gourmet breakfast will start each day of your stay.
Information on transportation to Taos and to our retreat center will be provided separately.
